Janome Ochoco (Sake Tasting Cup)

This is a traditional Japanese Sake tasting cup Ochoko.
To check the quality of Sake it has a design called 'Janome' at the bottom meaning snake eye.


See the clarity and colour of Sake in the white part and see the texture in blue.
with 15℃ Nihonshu (Sake).
Traditionally used for checking the quality of soy sauce as well.




蛇の目 お猪口

利き酒用のお猪口にはそのデザインから'蛇の目'と呼ばれる
デザインが底にほどこされており
15℃の日本酒を注ぎ白い輪で色合いや透明度、
青い輪で光沢をみます。
お醤油の品質を見極めるのにも使われるそうです。
